MOVE-IN DAY
Welcome to Cadelle, cuddlers! The city is — for the most part, at least — very happy with the first wave of volunteers who have chosen to spend time here! To help everyone get settled a little easier, Mayor Drake and her team have put together a series of helpful booths, each staffed by friendly citizen volunteers who are more than ready to answer any questions characters may have.
▸ First things first: visitors will need to visit City Hall to officially enroll as a Cadelle citizen. Once complete, they'll receive their Welcome Packet, which will include all of the most important items for settling in. Characters will find keys to their apartment and associated mail box, their housing assignment, and their pre-activated CuddleCard, ready to go. In addition, the volunteer coordinators have included a newly printed map of the city, as well as contact information for various city-run organizations, just in case!
▸ Due to the influx of energy from all of the new visitors, the city’s computer systems have been experiencing some "minor hiccups". While this is nothing to be concerned about, characters may find themselves mildly inconvenienced — they may have received keys that don’t work in their door, or been issued someone else's room assignment unknowingly!
▸ If they've arrived during regular business hours, characters are, of course, able to visit the maintenance office on the first floor of each building for help switching out their mismatched keys or determining their correct assignment. However, getting settled after hours will require a little extra creative problem solving — like asking a new friend if sharing a bed for the night seems reasonable, sleeping on the couches in the public lounges downstairs, or maybe even roughing it for the night outdoors. (Of course, there's always the frowned-upon methods of breaking and entering... not that you heard it from us!)
▸ As with any move-in day, there’s bound to be lots to see and do. Characters may need help carrying their things, or even just help finding their way around. If they're lucky enough to find their room without problem, they may not be so lucky in their assignment. They may find themselves living underneath someone who's got to be part elephant (who stomps that much at 6 AM?!) or just above someone who insists on burning every batch of popcorn they make! Get out there, meet the neighbors, and see what this city has to offer!
CITY SCAVENGER HUNT
A few days after the big move-in weekend, characters will find an unread message on their CuddlePhone, encouraging them to check out the CuddleTalk network for a very special message from two very special guests. When they do, they’ll find a cute (but admittedly very cheesy) video message from Cadelle’s volunteer coordinators, Flora and Cornelius. The video highlights a few of the most popular destinations in the city — Blaze Pizza, for example, the home of the ninety-second wood-fired pizza, or Dinah’s, where you can enjoy a literal bucket of fries perfect for sharing.
At the end of the video, a link will come up for characters to click if they are so inclined. They’ll be directed to a sign-up page for a city-wide scavenger hunt, with a grand prize promised for the first team to complete the challenge.
Want to participate?
▸ Characters will be able to sign up for the scavenger hunt either on their own or with a friend. (The prizes remain the same regardless of the size of the team, so if your character wants all the money for themselves, they'll either want to race it alone or pick a very generous teammate!)
▸ Among the many delicious dining destinations around Cadelle, characters will discover three venues that the volunteer coordinators have tapped as their current favorites. Somewhere in those three venues, characters will find a beautiful framed photo of Flora and Cornelius.
▸ When characters find the photo, they'll be instructed to take their best selfie, being sure to capture themselves, the framed snapshot, and their teammate (if they chose to bring one along) in the shot.
▸ The first group to send in all three selfies will win the grand prize — one month's stipend worth of extra CuddleBucks! However, all competitors who complete the challenge will be rewarded with a token of appreciation — one week's stipend worth of CuddleBucks, just for playing along!
▸ While characters explore the city, they just might find some "bonus" surprises along the way. Keep your eyes peeled!

Its... nice to meet you? [It probably shouldn't sound like such a question, really he shouldn't come off as this nervous either. Once he was sat down he felt a little more comfortable though, because there was food between them and she was smiling and the entire thing was entirely disarming.]
I am. There've been a few hiccups but I think the dust is finally settling.

Yeah? Me too, actually. ( a quiet laugh and a hand tucked over her mouth as she realizes she'd still been chewing a bit, covering until she's managed to finally swallow. ) I broke my key in my neighbor's door... luckily, she's not mad about it.

[Those poor Kryptonians, demolishing all forms of hardware in modern day apartments.] There's probably a lot to talk about. Maybe you could tell me a little about yourself? Where you're from, what your life was like.... that kind of thing. [Although realistically speaking asking for someone's whole life story was a little invasive.]

starting with... ) I'm, uh, obviously from Krypton. I was thirteen when your — well, the version of you, Kal-El, from my... world? Earth? Anyway. I was thirteen when your parents, my aunt and uncle, decided to send you to Earth. My parents sent me to watch over you, but my pod got stuck in the Phantom Zone, and by the time I got to Earth, you... well, he, I guess, was already Clark Kent-slash-Superman, and didn't really need an older cousin-slash-little cousin to look after.
So he brought me to my adoptive parents, Eliza and Jeremiah, in Midvale, and they were my family. They still are my family, I mean. And my sister, Alex, too. They really wanted me to be normal, not use my powers, not be Super anything — Jeremiah made me my first pair of glasses so I could learn to not see through everything all the time, and they made me promise not to go for midnight flights anymore, or to save people from car accidents or anything that could get me caught.
( she pauses for a moment, stares at a fry in her hand, and takes a thoughtful chew before continuing. )
Except my sister's plane got hijacked, and I had to save her, so... I did. And then I was Supergirl, you know, with the cape and the crest and everything, and I started to try and save my city from bad guys. I wasn't great at first, but my sister worked for a secret government organization called the DEO, and they helped me train, and now I help them protect the city — well, our country, and Earth, I guess too...
( the glint of her bracelet, thin silver with a tiny arrowhead charm, catches the light, and kara practically shouts in realization. )
Oh! And, honestly, probably the coolest thing — I have a friend, Barry, he's here. He's from another Earth, he's a superhero too, called the Flash. I went to his Earth one time to help him and a bunch of other superheroes defeat these evil aliens called the Dominators — we had them on Krypton a long time ago, way before I was born, did you have them too? ( take a breath, kara. ) Anyway, uh, that's where I met my boyfriend, Oliver... he's. The Green Arrow. Another superhero. But we didn't — I mean, at home, it's different, we didn't get together —
That happened in the other place, uh, we were both in another place like this one before we got here, Oliver and Barry and some other people and I... that's where Oliver and I. Got together.
( why is she still talking? why can't she shut up? )
That's... me, I guess. There's obviously, like, other stuff that's happened, like that time my uncle tried to put me in a murder-y plant coma so I'd be unable to stop him from taking over the planet... or having to be somebody's assistant... but mostly, it's been really good. Super good.

There's a few moments where he smiles genuine smiles too, like when she talks about the struggles behind avoiding using her powers. Despite their differences after all it seemed like they had very similar upbringings that the multiverse hadn't affected, there's a twinkle of familiarity when she mentions car accidents, Clark being reminded of the time he himself saved a bus full of kids when his parents would prefer he hid those kinds of abilities.
At the mention of Barry his eyebrows knit together slightly as if he'd heard the name before, recognition flaring up in the back of his mind of the man who'd talked to him about both Kara and the multiverse on his okCuddle. He thought it was nice for her to have superhero friends, Clark could've done with something like that back at home. Actual friends, rather than his tentative alliance with Batman.
When she finishes her story though Clark takes a deep breath, pausing a moment before even replying because there was a lot of information running through his head, but from the picture he was getting of Kara... they'd get on just fine.] Well... that's quite the resume you've got there. It sounds like you've had quite the busy life back on your earth. [It was something they maybe had in common, Kryptonians destined to live on a foreign planet.] Something tells me us Kryptonians always end up doing something a little outside the ordinary, regardless of which earth they've come from.
