EVENT 001: WELCOME WEEK

MOVE-IN DAY Welcome to Cadelle, cuddlers! The city is — for the most part, at least — very happy with the first wave of volunteers who have chosen to spend time here! To help everyone get settled a little easier, Mayor Drake and her team have put together a series of helpful booths, each staffed by friendly citizen volunteers who are more than ready to answer any questions characters may have. ▸ First things first: visitors will need to visit City Hall to officially enroll as a Cadelle citizen. Once complete, they'll receive their Welcome Packet, which will include all of the most important items for settling in. Characters will find keys to their apartment and associated mail box, their housing assignment, and their pre-activated CuddleCard, ready to go. In addition, the volunteer coordinators have included a newly printed map of the city, as well as contact information for various city-run organizations, just in case! ▸ Due to the influx of energy from all of the new visitors, the city’s computer systems have been experiencing some "minor hiccups". While this is nothing to be concerned about, characters may find themselves mildly inconvenienced — they may have received keys that don’t work in their door, or been issued someone else's room assignment unknowingly! ▸ If they've arrived during regular business hours, characters are, of course, able to visit the maintenance office on the first floor of each building for help switching out their mismatched keys or determining their correct assignment. However, getting settled after hours will require a little extra creative problem solving — like asking a new friend if sharing a bed for the night seems reasonable, sleeping on the couches in the public lounges downstairs, or maybe even roughing it for the night outdoors. (Of course, there's always the frowned-upon methods of breaking and entering... not that you heard it from us!) ▸ As with any move-in day, there’s bound to be lots to see and do. Characters may need help carrying their things, or even just help finding their way around. If they're lucky enough to find their room without problem, they may not be so lucky in their assignment. They may find themselves living underneath someone who's got to be part elephant (who stomps that much at 6 AM?!) or just above someone who insists on burning every batch of popcorn they make! Get out there, meet the neighbors, and see what this city has to offer! CITY SCAVENGER HUNT A few days after the big move-in weekend, characters will find an unread message on their CuddlePhone, encouraging them to check out the CuddleTalk network for a very special message from two very special guests. When they do, they’ll find a cute (but admittedly very cheesy) video message from Cadelle’s volunteer coordinators, Flora and Cornelius. The video highlights a few of the most popular destinations in the city — Blaze Pizza, for example, the home of the ninety-second wood-fired pizza, or Dinah’s, where you can enjoy a literal bucket of fries perfect for sharing. At the end of the video, a link will come up for characters to click if they are so inclined. They’ll be directed to a sign-up page for a city-wide scavenger hunt, with a grand prize promised for the first team to complete the challenge. Want to participate? ▸ Characters will be able to sign up for the scavenger hunt either on their own or with a friend. (The prizes remain the same regardless of the size of the team, so if your character wants all the money for themselves, they'll either want to race it alone or pick a very generous teammate!) ▸ Among the many delicious dining destinations around Cadelle, characters will discover three venues that the volunteer coordinators have tapped as their current favorites. Somewhere in those three venues, characters will find a beautiful framed photo of Flora and Cornelius. ▸ When characters find the photo, they'll be instructed to take their best selfie, being sure to capture themselves, the framed snapshot, and their teammate (if they chose to bring one along) in the shot. ▸ The first group to send in all three selfies will win the grand prize — one month's stipend worth of extra CuddleBucks! However, all competitors who complete the challenge will be rewarded with a token of appreciation — one week's stipend worth of CuddleBucks, just for playing along! ▸ While characters explore the city, they just might find some "bonus" surprises along the way. tina goldstein | fantastic beasts and where to find them

GAMMA BUILDING, FLOOR 2 - MOVE IN DAY - open.

[ getting through the welcome booths had been a fairly painless experience. tina didn't have many belongings, other than a few bags of clothes, and the staff had been incredibly welcoming. she knew what she was getting into when she got in line, which helped move the whole process along. her keys were handed over, as well as the map and her card, and she was pointed in the right direction with a wave and a smile.

she was nervous, sure. being in such a new place without much of a central point of reference left her a bit wide eyed and unsure, but she shook her head and kept her feet moving. she could explore in a bit, try and introduce herself to a few more people around her place, maybe search out the closest book store...

tina's key worked just fine (thankfully - she won't know that for some they don't until a bit later) and she gets inside her room fairly quickly. considering she didn't bring too much with her except the essentials, she's pretty free not long after being left in her room. that also means she ends up stepping back out into the hall fairly soon after, looking off down the hall to see if she could see any of her new floor-mates.

at the first sound of footsteps, she will jump a bit, stepping a bit further out into the hall. ] Hello? Do you need any help? [ she feels a bit like a new student at ilvermorny on their first day, but she tries to push that subtle nervousness away. ]

SCAVENGER HUNT - closed to credence(&percival graves)

[ tina hadn't really had big plans for the day when the message reached her phone - nothing more than continuing her exploration of the city, maybe getting lunch with credence. the second she reads it, though, she can't quite hide the smile that breaks out across her face - immediately sending credence a message about completeing the scavenger hunt with her.

just over an hour later she's standing out in front of the first place highlighted in the video - Blaze Pizza - bouncing in the balls of her feet a bit excitedly. she's a fairly competitive person, at her core, and the chance to have some kind of hunt through the city has her in a good mood. she and credence had agreed to meet here, just to check if that had been a clue, before starting off on the rest of the city.

the idea of a 'selfie' was still something she was trying to understand, but she figured they would have time to work it out. ]

[Credence was settling into the new city as well as he had the last - there were a few bumps along the way, but he had people here to help him with it. Which was surprising, but made him happy. He had Tina, Percival, and Kieren. They were all important to him and they'd all somehow come here, too. There were some that hadn't made it, those that he would miss, but he couldn't dwell on the negatives, he had to hope that they received their incentive and were somewhere good now.

Spending the day with Tina is something he looks forward to. When he learns that there is a scavenger hunt, something he's never done before, but he rushes to Blaze Pizza as quickly as he can to help. He understands the gist of it. Find what they need to find and follow clues to lead them there.

When he sees Tina, he hurries to her side, reaching for her hand in his excitement.]

Miss Tina. I came as fast as I could.

[ tina is aware that for a lot of people (her included), the changes would take a bit more time. she herself had a few bumps to push herself over with the move. but tina was also a doer, she would face what this was head-on, and pick herself back up if she stumbled. thankfully, it's easier to do so with credence and mister graves. easier to do so when she at least has some idea of familiarity.

the hunt would be a good adventure. the people who were welcoming everyone here knew that, and were doing their best. she appreciated it, almost as much as she appreciated having the day to spend with credence in the first place. it's not credence's fault that she arrived a bit earlier than planned, or that her excitement has her even more impatient than normal, but when she sees credence running up and taking her hand, a grin breaks out across her face. ]

That's fine! Did you see the rules for the Scavenger Hunt? [ she squeezes his hand. ] We should start!

I did. I've never participated in one before. Have you?

[He's already looking around, as if observing the city and people walking by will give him some kind of unspoken tips at how to win. Credence had gone over the rules a few times, so he knows what they're supposed to do in theory.]

Alright, let's go. [Credence tugs her hand in one direction, stops and then turns back around.] Which way?

[They had a lot of ground to cover and he trusts her opinions on where they should start.]
