It's good to see me isn't it? | ota
CHARACTERS: Glinda + You!!
LOCATIONS: All around town
WARNINGS: None yet???
SUMMARY: The Good Witch is volunteering, mingling and being all around "Good". Will match styles if brackets work better for you.
a. Out and About
On any given day, the Good Witch can be found wandering the town looking for good deeds to fulfill. She's impossible to miss, too, given that she's not keen on fitting in and tends to wear her iconic (if she were back in Oz) blue gown.
Her gift from the city officials made it easier to flit around town, but no less distracting- if only she knew how to drive the thing. At first it seemed easy, she rolled down the street, the bubbles trailing behind her- almost like her actual preferred mode of transportation. She held her chin high and a soft smile on her lips as she starred in her one-woman parade.
It didn't last long, however. Later she can be found nearly barreling down the rode, holding on for dear life, eyes wide. "Please move! I don't know how to stop it!" she shouted ahead, eager to have as few injuries as possible from this trainwreck... It was possibly comical to those who were watching, a flurry of bubbles being left in her wake as the generally dignified witch realized that coming and going by literal bubble did nothing to teach one how to operate a mechanical one.
b. Closed to Derek
Glinda still hasn't found herself a steady 'job' for her stay in the city. To be perfectly honest, the Good Witch may have felt she was a little too "Good" for most of the available positions. It wasn't that she was stuck up, far from it (at least compared to when she was younger- a term used loosely in this instance). She was just a political woman who had a high standard for herself, and serving tea at Infinitea didn't quite cut it.
The Good Witch sat perched at a high table, in a private room at Vinery with a glass of wine in front of her and an empty one in front of an empty seat as she waited for Derek to arrive. Was this too much? Too fancy? He was only going to help her find a job... but at this point she felt it best that she be wholly honest with him. He deserved it.

gasp! I am shocked, i tell ya. ;D
Glinda nearly slid from her stool to greet him before he took his own seat- instead, to mask the odd shift she just did, she crossed one leg over the other and grinned. "I've only been once, but I liked it... Thank you again for meeting me."
A preemptively for helping with the job hunt.

"Oh no problem, any time," he says and he genuinely does mean that. Anytime a friend needs something, Derek will always try to be there for them, no matter how simple or complex the thing.

Not that she's been eager to find one, but really if it had been Oz and she wasn't the public face of the government, she'd be offered jobs left and right. Glinda takes a slow sip of her wine before setting the glass back down, fingers lingering on the stem. After a moment she shifts her stool closer to him, as though she's giving them more privacy in an already private room. She presses her lips together and watches him for a moment with her head ducked before she lets out a slow breath.
"I was hoping to be a little more open about what led me to come to Cadelle," she continues quietly. "You've been so honest with me, I feel I owe you more myself."

His brow creases with slight confusion and he looks back at her. "I don't think you owe me anything, but I'll definitely listen," he promises quietly. There's nothing Derek can imagine that would turn him off to wanting to be a part of Glinda's life and have her as a part of his, after all, so if she would feel better sharing then he's happy to listen.
