( a lifetime of locker rooms and too-close-for-comfort changing rooms have taught kimberly that changing clothing is hardly something to get fussed about. besides, she's proud of her body, and the work that she puts into it — or, at least, the work she had put into it before the power coin woke her up with ridiculous muscle definition. nowadays, kimberly just works out because it's something familiar to do. it helps her burn off some of that excess ranger energy.
it doesn't take her long to fish out an outfit, either. if they're going to be running all over town, she'd like to be comfortable, which means gym wear — black capri-cut yoga pants that hug all the right spots and yes, yet another tank top, this one gray and loose and impossibly low-cut in the back. the high neck of forest green lace peeks up over the scooped neckline, secured at the nape of her neck with a quick clip, and she's set to go, all bounce in her step. )
What are we waiting for, then? Let's go.
( if she grabs clary's hands as soon as her bag is slung over her shoulder, phone tucked inside for safekeeping, so be it. her fingers tangled around the other girl's just makes it easier to drag her out the door and down the staircase, weaving around other people until they're stumbling into the bright afternoon sun, squinting a bit and breathless from their impromptu sprint. )
