She'll admit it. When Derek asks for even more detail, Felicity gives him a skeptical look. Not because she doesn't think he can keep up, but because ... well, for a guy who was just being convinced that maybe learning his phone is a good idea ... this is a lot more interest in digital security than she'd expected.
But then again, she thinks to herself, maybe it's just because this is the first time someone's taken the time to explain it to him.
"I can show you sometime, if you want to see." It's easier than her explaining to him that all the Internet is is a bunch of hardware and software written by humans. "How to hack your local wifi can be the class right after how to use your smartphone," she teases a little, biting her lower lip as she smiles.
"Oh well, I don't know about that. I don't want to be in charge of anything on behalf of the city. Protecting the little guy though ... that's more my style."
And good job Derek, on catching that she never once repeated the word cyber. It just ... has a lot of connotations.
This time, when she goes to sip her coffee though, Felicity realizes that she's out, so she sets the cup back down onto its saucer.
