He shrugs a little at the suggestion that she might've been the rude one if she'd failed to show up. "Not if you thought I was just messing with you; then it would've been self-preservation," he points out before putting a hand on one of the empty chairs and lifting his eyebrows in question. "Mind if I take this one?"

The idea that he wouldn't come is what he had been worried would keep Felicity from showing up, after all. "And miss meeting up with you? I had to," he adds with a smile. Had to come here, had to get to know her. He needs to know this girl and he doesn't really know why other than the fact that she's pretty and he doesn't feel a dull throb of worry settled in the back of his mind when he's with her. He isn't afraid she's going to hurt him.

Hopefully, he thinks to himself, that trust isn't misplaced.
