She finds the edge of the pool when Sansa arrives, smiling up at her new friend with pleased appreciation. ) You're amazing, you know that, right? ( The shawl, the scones, the companionship. )
You'd do that? Because I'm so envious of your hair dressing skills. I can barely make mine presentable at the best of times.

( Sansa seats herself on a rock that's close to the edge of the pool and takes a section of Clary's hair between her fingers, combing it. ) The Wildlings consider red hair to be lucky, you know. They call it being kissed by fire.

( There's something soothing at Sansa fixing her hair, Clary leans back against the pool edge, eyes closing. )
Maybe when I have legs again you can teach me. So I can return the favour. We can make flower crowns.

( Sansa laughs, a bit ironic. If only she'd learned the things she had needed to know instead of those things. It's all right. She knows them now. She finishes combing Clary's hair and starts to section it so she can braid it back out of her face. She would do waterfall braids if she weren't outdoors but as it is, she will save those for a later time. )
My sister never learned how to do them, though. She somehow decided learning how to use a sword was a better use of her time.

( Swordfighting has definitely become a part of Clary's life. She'd liked it, when she first started training. But sometimes she can't help but think about how selfish it was of her to crave the shadowhunter life, when it took away so much in the end. )
I wasn't the girliest of little kids. Mostly I liked to go exploring in my dungarees. My mom ran an antique store, and I liked climbing into all the dusty little corners to see what I could find. That's probably why she taught me to draw though, so I would stop causing trouble.

I like to draw too. It's not something that many ladies do, mind you, but I found it was easier to do embroidery and make gowns if I could draw them out first. Then I started drawing other things here and there. It's not something I've ever shared with anyone else, though.

( Because Clary will fight a man, okay. )
You should come with me to the university one day. I think they actually have courses for fashion, if that's what you're into? So you can work with both of those things. Because there's like, so many possibilities here. Actually, Baby was the one who told me I should actually do something with my art here. It'd be nice to have a friend to go to classes with.

( Sansa perks up a bit at the idea of attending classes with Clary, though. )
Do you think they'd let me attend? I would like to learn how to draw better than I do now.

( Clary leans back against the pool's edge to look at Sansa properly. ) You can take any courses you want! Metalwork? You can go for it. Archery? Sure. You want to learn math? Learn math! I'll come with you even if I hate algebra.
( It's now Clary's mission to help her friend explore the modern world. )
When I have my legs back, we'll head to the University.

( Sansa gives Clary a bit of a concerned look. )
Baby doesn't know you're back here. I think if he did, he wouldn't come over and kiss me.

( She thinks they're cute together. Lord knows Baby needs someone sweet in his life, and Sansa is definitely that. They're so mismatched a couple that somehow they just seem perfect together. She's happy for them. )
I might have to get someone from the administration to come down here. See what they can do? Maybe I can figure out a way to make a deal with them.

I feel like you cannot contribute to the city’s energy like this.
( Sansa thinks it isn’t a bad idea to appeal to the administration and since she has legs, she doesn’t mind doing it. )
Would you like me to meet with them and see if I can get a representative here for you? I’ve become adept at diplomacy over the years.
