[ Winter's alright. It ain't that fun when he's between beds and he has to sleep out in the wilderness. Snow makes just about everything wet when you lay in it long enough. Including blankets and bed rolls. Harsh winters can make a break a family back home. It certainly never did his own family any favors when he was a little boy. But those days were behind him.
