I don't know for a fact what happens then, but-- adoption is practiced in many cultures around the world. I imagine that in a community where cousins and siblings of the same generation are all siblings, then...

I really don't know, sorry. [BUT HE WILL FIND OUT. It's his mission now.] For what it's worth, I've found that family doesn't need to mean blood relatives.
