( she's supposed to be bringing a bag of dog treats over for robbie. it's supposed to be a quick trip, something easy and done with in just a few minutes, but supposed to be takes a sharp detour when she realizes he's not there. not even 'stepped out for a few minutes' gone, but completely and utterly missing — which is weird, for him, because he's usually exactly where she expects him to be during his working hours. most people with jobs are.
the realization leaves her standing in the middle of the workspace, looking around a bit sheepishly with a white sack in her hand, trying to find anyone she recognizes in order to relay a message. sure, she could text him, but... well, people are easier. technology is finicky.
when she can't manage to find someone she knows, kara settles instead for the closest living body. it happens to belong to an older man surrounded by technowreckage of the sort that cisco ramon might drool over, but what she doesn't recognize has never stopped her before. definitely not. )
