Gamora | MCU | OTA
CHARACTERS: Gamora & YOU!
LOCATIONS: best friends rescue, b-sides, shooting range, good times, etc
WARNINGS: none yet
SUMMARY: catch-all for gamora and anyone that wants to meet/speak to her
Gamora was becoming more comfortable with life in Cadelle even if not everyone was particularly comfortable with her. She was still the only one that she was aware of that didn't look immediately Terran and was clearly from somewhere else. It's why she valued the friendships she had.
And the dog that Baby kept at B-Sides just had her thinking more and more about getting her own pet. For a couple of weeks she was one of those annoying people that kept visiting Best Friends Rescue and looking like she wanted to adopt a pet of some variety, but never quite able to decide what. A dog reminded her of Quill (it was a compliment, wasn't it?). A cat seemed more independent like her. They didn't offer up raccoons like Rocket, or little baby trees like Groot. Nothing was like Drax. Not that she should have been trying to recreate her crew with animals.
She had finally discovered the gun range as well, though the guns here seemed primitive compared to the weapons she was used to wielding. It also seemed safer to practice under a controlled environment rather than her apartment or anywhere else.
And then there were nights when sitting around reading up on Earth's history wasn't going to cut it, and she ventured out to the pubs and clubs, but her personal favourite was Good Times where they played the music she had decided was her favourite - nothing new, all the classics - and she could disguise her like of dancing by wearing roller skates and getting as lost in a crowd as a green-skinned alien could.

the only not good one in the city clearly
Once upon a time she had also found silence comforting, but thanks to Peter and his relentless love of music, she was struggling to break the mood without some songs. Or at least to truly wallow in her feelings without a soundtrack that matched.
She blinked at the voice, being brought back from wondering exactly which song might fit her current state, she found herself smiling despite herself. There was something in the other woman's expression that was contagious.
"I'm not sure bored is quite the right description, but it is lacking a little... ambience."
if anyone could find it, it's these two
"You want to find somewhere with better ambience?"
The offer could just as easily be purely friendly, and if that's how the advance is received, she'd roll with it. Either way, she's getting out of this place and heading for somewhere with a little more noise, and she thinks it'd be a lot more fun with present company.

She looked down as the smile increased, and hummed her agreement. "I could definitely use some better music." It was the worst kept secret that she had truly embraced Terran music. It was slowly becoming less and less of a secret that she had embraced the dancing.
She glanced at her drink but didn't bother finishing it as her new companion had, and simply pushed it away. "That would depend on what you consider better ambience."
Gamora had seen the Deviant, but the thumping of the music had kept her away. She was still far too interested in the earlier eras of Earth's rock music to bother with electronica. But the fact that she'd pushed her drink away was already a signal she was willing to follow. She just wasn't so good at returning flirtatious advances.

"I bet you there's a better place on this street, better music, better everything. There has to be," she says playfully, persuasively, even as she reaches out to retrieve Gamora's abandoned drink, and downs it.
Her grin isn't the slightest bit apologetic as she sets the empty glass back on the bar next to her own. "Let me buy you another drink somewhere."

She smiled mostly to herself as Valkyrie finished her drink. What was it about the overly confident that Gamora inevitably found attractive? They would be frustrating and arrogant, and yet...
"Buying my drink would only work if you lose the bet. Though as we make our way there I'm sure we can come to an agreement as to what I can do should you win."

“Let's go, then,” she suggests, stepping away just enough to make it obvious she'll still wait for her, but that she's serious about leaving.
“If I waste your time, I'll owe you more than a drink,” she offers, heading for the door.

Gamora now had the time and luxury to live her life far away from her reputation as Thanos' daughter, and a known killer and criminal - not just a Guardian of the Galaxy. So why shouldn't she have fun?
With Gamora wearing her usual boots she had the height advantage over Valkyrie, but Gamora knew that didn't really mean anything. Valkyrie clearly had the experience factor going for her.
"My name is Gamora."
