Gamora | MCU | OTA

CHARACTERS: Gamora & YOU!
LOCATIONS: best friends rescue, b-sides, shooting range, good times, etc
WARNINGS: none yet
SUMMARY: catch-all for gamora and anyone that wants to meet/speak to her

Gamora was becoming more comfortable with life in Cadelle even if not everyone was particularly comfortable with her. She was still the only one that she was aware of that didn't look immediately Terran and was clearly from somewhere else. It's why she valued the friendships she had.

And the dog that Baby kept at B-Sides just had her thinking more and more about getting her own pet. For a couple of weeks she was one of those annoying people that kept visiting Best Friends Rescue and looking like she wanted to adopt a pet of some variety, but never quite able to decide what. A dog reminded her of Quill (it was a compliment, wasn't it?). A cat seemed more independent like her. They didn't offer up raccoons like Rocket, or little baby trees like Groot. Nothing was like Drax. Not that she should have been trying to recreate her crew with animals.

She had finally discovered the gun range as well, though the guns here seemed primitive compared to the weapons she was used to wielding. It also seemed safer to practice under a controlled environment rather than her apartment or anywhere else.

And then there were nights when sitting around reading up on Earth's history wasn't going to cut it, and she ventured out to the pubs and clubs, but her personal favourite was Good Times where they played the music she had decided was her favourite - nothing new, all the classics - and she could disguise her like of dancing by wearing roller skates and getting as lost in a crowd as a green-skinned alien could.

“It's boring,” she insists, grinning a little, leaning onto the bar. “It's too quiet, the music sucks, and there's no one else here worth our time,” she lists off before she drains her drink and sets the empty glass toward the inner edge of the bar to be retrieved by the bartender. This was the fun part, the anonymity, the playing. She lets her gaze stray, lets her attention wander over Gamora, down to her boots, back up to her eyes.

"You want to find somewhere with better ambience?"

The offer could just as easily be purely friendly, and if that's how the advance is received, she'd roll with it. Either way, she's getting out of this place and heading for somewhere with a little more noise, and she thinks it'd be a lot more fun with present company.

As confident as Valkyrie is, she's hardly going to assume a sure thing just yet, even if the other woman's attention is encouraging. Besides, she didn't really have an end game in mind beyond seeing if she could rescue her fellow attractive and solo female from this this dead-ass funeral of a bar.

"I bet you there's a better place on this street, better music, better everything. There has to be," she says playfully, persuasively, even as she reaches out to retrieve Gamora's abandoned drink, and downs it.

Her grin isn't the slightest bit apologetic as she sets the empty glass back on the bar next to her own. "Let me buy you another drink somewhere."

The Valkyrie's expression is bright, sincere, as the woman seems to agree to accompany her somewhere. She really hopes there is a better bar, though already she wouldn't say no to skipping the bar altogether. As much as she likes to play, it's not a prerequisite for her to have a good time... but the game might be worth it, with this one.

“Let's go, then,” she suggests, stepping away just enough to make it obvious she'll still wait for her, but that she's serious about leaving.

“If I waste your time, I'll owe you more than a drink,” she offers, heading for the door.
